In my work as a designer, I’ve worked on a variety of projects, including several where I’ve lent my knowledge of the effectiveness of graphics of all sorts to help businesses grow and change. In this example, I was retained to work for the owners of a prominent store in my town who were transitioning toward retirement and the sale of their business. To assist in that endeavor, I created ads, signage and a web site, as well as advice on using social media to create a happy ending.

We wanted this signage to be cheerful and to coherently contain a great amount of information about the closing of this chapter of my clients’ lives. Part of the family live in Spain, so to honor that and include them in this momentous change, we wrote the headline in both English and Spanish.
Additionally, I advised and created several ads, and led them through using social media to expand their efforts to find a new owner for their store.

A very simple, three page website, focused solely on the transition, was designed and provided a way to clearly outline both the details of the sale and ways to contact the sellers.
